Adam Levi de Alva,

Born and raised in Telluride, Colorado. Studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Adam graduated from CU in 2012 with a Bachelors in Environmental Design and a Minor in Technology, Arts, and Media. Upon graduating Adam journeyed to California to enjoy the ocean breeze while working for a small boutique firm. Within a year the mountains were calling and he found himself returning to Telluride for a “ski season”. He quickly found himself fully reengaged in the Telluride community. He worked with Sante architects from 2013 until 2021 working on a variety of innovative high end residential homes and commercial projects. Adam obtained licensure in the state of Colorado in August of 2020 and founded de Alva Architects shortly after.

Adam brings attention to detail on every project, working diligently through all phases of design from conceptual to construction administration. He loves to push boundaries both in architectural design and in the technology and methods used to produce it. He enjoys close working relationships with his clients, general contractors and consultants leading to project success. Adam has developed strong working relationships with the local jurisdictions for professional and timely approvals.

Adam is also a Captain with the Telluride Fire Protection District, being hired on in February of 2021, after being a volunteer for over 8 years. Qualifications include FOI, EMT-B, FFTI, HZMT OP/A. His attention to detail, leadership and problem solving skills have instilled many common lessons from the fire ground to architectural practice.

His interests include mountain biking, dirt biking, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, camping, fly fishing, hunting, and everything the San Jauns have to offer.
